Step-by-step guide to set up your eSIM on any device.

How do I install and set up an eSIM on my Android device?

Before installing, make sure that your device:

  • Your device needs to be eSIM compatible and network unlocked.
  • You have a stable connection, preferably WiFi. (You need to download the eSIM properly to your device and a stable internet connection is a must.)

How to prepare before installing an eSIM?

  1. Log in to your Simific account
  2. Go to My eSIMs
  3. Select the eSIM you want to install
  4. Open the installation instructions. Depending on your app version, you may see: "View Installation Instructions" or "How to use your eSIM > How to install the eSIM"
  5. Choose your preferred installation method: Direct, QR Code, or Manual
  6. For connection settings, open the same eSIM and look under "How to use your eSIM > How to connect".

Option 1: Direct Installation

Some Android models support Direct installation from the Simific app.

  • If available, select Direct > Install eSIM and follow the on-screen steps.

Option 2: QR Code Installation

  1. In the Simific app, choose the QR Code option (you can share it to another device or print it)
  2. Open Settings on your device
  3. Select Network & Internet
  4. Select + Add Mobile Network (or Add eSIM)
  5. When prompted with “Don’t have a SIM card?”, select Next
  6. Scan your QR code and enter the confirmation code if prompted
  7. Go back to Mobile Network and turn on your eSIM
  8. Enable Mobile data
  9. Enable Data roaming (turn off your primary line to avoid roaming charges when abroad)
  10. If required, set up your APN (Access Point Name) using the details from your Simific app

Option 3: Manual Installation

  1. In the Simific app, choose the Manual option
  2. Copy the SM-DP+ Address and Activation Code (and Confirmation Code if available)
  3. Open Settings on your device
  4. Select Network & Internet
  5. Select + Add Mobile Network (or Add eSIM)
  6. When prompted with “Don’t have a SIM card?”, select Next
  7. Select Enter code manually and enter the SM-DP+ Address and Activation Code from your Simific app
  8. Go back to Mobile Network and turn on your eSIM
  9. Enable Mobile data
  10. Enable Data roaming (turn off your primary line to avoid roaming charges when abroad)
  11. If required, set up your APN using the details from your Simific app

Important tip

Once your eSIM is installed via Direct, QR Code, or Manual, you can finish setup more easily by selecting the Settings shortcuts in your Simific app under Access data steps.

iOS Guide

How do I install and set up an eSIM on my iOS device?

Please check the following items in order to guarantee that you are able to successfully install and set up your eSIM:

  • Your device is eSIM compatible and network unlocked.
  • You have a stable connection, preferably WiFi.

How to prepare before installing an eSIM

  1. Log in to your Simific account
  2. Go to My eSIMs
  3. Select the eSIM you want to install and tap View details
  4. Open the installation instructions.
  5. If you are using the Manual method, copy or note down the SM-DP+ Address and Activation Code.
  6. For connection settings, look under "How to use your eSIM > How to connect".

Option 1: Manual Installation

  1. Open Settings
  2. Tap Cellular (or Mobile Data)
  3. Tap Add Cellular Plan (or Add Mobile Data Plan)
  4. Tap Enter Details Manually and enter: SM-DP+ Address, Activation Code, Confirmation Code (if provided)
  5. Choose a label for your eSIM
  6. On the Default Line page, select your eSIM for data only
  7. Confirm that your eSIM appears under Cellular Plans

Option 2: QR Code Installation

  1. Open Settings
  2. Tap Cellular (or Mobile Data)
  3. Tap Add Cellular Plan (or Add Mobile Data Plan)
  4. Scan the QR code from your eSIM details in the Simific app
  5. If prompted, enter the 4-digit confirmation code (skip if not provided)
  6. Choose a label for your eSIM
  7. On the Default Line page, select your eSIM for data only
  8. Confirm that your eSIM appears under Cellular Plans

How to connect to mobile data

  1. Open Settings > Cellular
  2. Tap your newly installed eSIM plan
  3. Toggle Turn On This Line and enable Data Roaming
  4. On the same page, tap Cellular Data Network and enter the APN if required (found in Simific app)
  5. Go back to Settings > Cellular
  6. Select your eSIM for Cellular Data
  7. Turn Allow Cellular Data Switching OFF regarding your other line
  8. In your eSIM settings, select the supported network

What happens after installation

Once installed and connected, your eSIM should appear under your device’s Cellular Plans and automatically connect to a supported mobile network.
